Become a Leader
Scouts Australia are always seeking keen adults that would like to help kids to learn and have fun! Leaders receive training (paid for by the Group) that they can use in the real world as well as in Scouts. Everyone that becomes a Leader must complete certain training and they can be awarded a nationally recognised Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Leadership.
Many people may be interested in helping but may not have the time to dedicate to full time leadership. Associate Leaders and Parent Helpers are both options that may suit those wanting to help when they can, but not necessarily every week. If you are interested in volunteering as a Leader in Cessnock then please contact our Group Leader for an information pack - we are always interested to hear from prospective Leaders and Parent Helpers! If you would like more information on the training that Scout Leaders undertake then please visit this Scouts Australia webpage.
