Wakalatoe Cub Pack
7½ to 11 years
A Cub Scout Pack comprises up to 24 boys and girls aged 7 ½ to 11 years who take off together on an exciting trail to adventure! The well trained volunteer Leaders are known by names taken from the famous story, The Jungle Book. Cub Scouts follow on from Joey Scouts and lead into Scouts.
Cub Scouts get to canoe and sail, visit Rural Fire services and volunteer rescue units, airports, museums and the zoo. They go on camps and bushwalks, and can earn a number of different badges that they can display on their Cub Scout uniform or camp blanket. These Achievment Badges include sport, boating, cycling, entertaining, gardening, pet care, naturecraft, construction, science, codes and signals, with Specialist Badges for achievements in waterwise, world conservation, local history, faith awarness and 'their service - our heritage' also available.
Cub Scout Meetings
Cub Scouts meet on Wednesday nights (during school terms) from 6.30 to 8.00PM. Feel free to stop by and visit to see first hand what our Cub Scouts do each week. Your child can visit and attend a couple of meetings at no cost, and no obligation, to see if they like Cub's before you decide if you would like to join them up. Sometimes Cubs may change their meeting night to attend something special, such as a joint meeting with other Sections or Groups, so if you wish to check first please contact our Group Leader on 0427 468 027 (Martin) to confirm the next meeting.

The Cub Scout uniform consists of a dark blue shirt with the Section colour, which is yellow, across the sleeve, yoke and collar. A blue or moss-green belt, Group scarf, and a woggle, also form part of the uniform.
Badge Placement
When a Cub first joins and is invested into the Pack they will receive a number of badges that need to be sewn onto the uniform. Afterwards during their time in Cubs they will earn various achievment badges and/or special interest badges. All of these have a designated location on the uniform they need to be placed.
