Become a Member!
Membership of all Sections is open to both boys and girls of the relevant ages. Children are usually encouraged to attend up to 4 weekly meetings before joining, so they can get an idea of the kind of activities the Section undertakes. Once the child has attended a few meetings and decided to join, arrangements will be made to invest him or her into the Section.
Current fee's for the Cessnock City Group are $55 per term. Terms are based on the school terms. In addition to these fee's a uniform will need to be purchased prior to being invested. Uniforms consist of a shirt and belt and can be purchased direct from Scout suppliers, or ordered through the Group.
Apart from the above fee's there may be some camps or activities that attract a small fee for participation. Generally these activities are all voluntary and advance notice is given where possible so budgets can be organised and payment arrangements organised if necessary.
The aim of Scouts is to be available to all youth so if you wish to have your child join but feel that some of the fee's or costs could be difficult, please contact us so we can discuss possible alternatives.
