Investiture Badges

When youth members are invested they receive a number of badges that need to be sewn onto their new uniforms. The following is a guide to the placement of these initial badges. If you like you can download this information in a PDF format - click here to download.

NOTE! This information is about the initial investiture badges only. If you need information about badge placement for all other badges, visit the relevant Section page and follow the link to the Badge Placements page for that Section.

When youth members are invested into our Group they will receive the following badges:

World Membership Badge (Scout emblem badge)
Australian Flag Badge (Scouts Australia badge)
Group Name tag (Cessnock City)
Section Name tag (Wakalatoe Mob/Pack/Troop or Birralee Unit)
Hunter & Coastal Region badge
Round Scarf Badge (Cessnock City)
FOR CUBS: A colour patch (black, white, red or grey)
FOR SCOUTS: A Patrol Emblem patch (Kookaburra, Redback Spider, Tasmanian Tiger, or Scorpian)

NOTE: The "CESSNOCK CITY" tag goes at the top of the sleeve, 1cm below the seam. The Section tag goes immediately below this (i.e. WAKALATOE MOB, WAKALATOE PACK, WAKALATOE TROOP, or BIRRALEE UNIT), with the "Hunter & Coastal" badge placed below the Section tag.

Cub Scouts and Scouts will also have a badge to place on the LEFT sleeve - for Cubs it is a Colour Patch (Black, White, Red or Grey), and for Scouts it is a Patrol Emblem patch.
